Terms and Conditions for Carpet Cleaners EN5

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners EN5 provides professional cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By placing a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before confirming any service.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client means the person, company, or organisation requesting and paying for the services.

Service means any carpet, upholstery, rug, mattress, or related cleaning work carried out by Carpet Cleaners EN5, including any additional or ancillary services agreed between the Client and Carpet Cleaners EN5.

Technician means an employee, contractor, or representative appointed by Carpet Cleaners EN5 to perform the Service.

Premises means the property or location at which the Service is to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract between the Client and Carpet Cleaners EN5 for the supply of Services, incorporating these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

Carpet Cleaners EN5 provides carpet, upholstery, and related cleaning services in the EN5 area and surrounding districts. The exact scope of each Service will be confirmed at the time of booking, based on the information supplied by the Client.

The Service may include pre-inspection, vacuuming, spot treatment, stain removal where feasible, deep cleaning, deodorising, and related tasks, as agreed. The Technician will determine appropriate cleaning methods and products based on the material type, level of soiling, and access conditions.

All work is carried out with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with accepted industry practices. However, results can vary depending on fabric type, age, pre-existing staining, wear, and other factors outside our control, and cannot be guaranteed.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Requesting a booking

The Client may request a booking by contacting Carpet Cleaners EN5 and providing accurate information about the Premises, the items to be cleaned, access arrangements, and any special requirements. When requesting a quote, the Client must disclose any known issues such as heavy soiling, pet contamination, water damage, or delicate or unusual materials.

3.2 Quotations

Any quotation is based on the information supplied by the Client and is given in good faith. Quotations are typically provided as an estimate of the cost and time required. Carpet Cleaners EN5 reserves the right to amend a quotation if, on arrival, the Technician finds that the information provided was incomplete or inaccurate, or if the condition of the items or Premises differs significantly from that described.

3.3 Confirmation of booking

A booking is considered confirmed only when Carpet Cleaners EN5 has accepted the request and provided a date and approximate time window for the visit. At the point of confirmation, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions. Carpet Cleaners EN5 may, at its discretion, refuse a booking or propose an alternative date and time.

3.4 Access to the Premises

The Client is responsible for providing safe and timely access to the Premises on the agreed date. This includes ensuring that someone is present to grant access or that keys or access codes have been agreed in advance. The Technician must have sufficient space to work and access to electricity and, where required, a water supply.

4. Client Obligations

The Client agrees to:

Ensure that all personal items, valuables, breakable objects, and small furniture that may obstruct the cleaning are safely removed or relocated before the Service begins, unless otherwise agreed.

Advise Carpet Cleaners EN5 in advance of any known hazards at the Premises, including loose floor coverings, exposed wiring, or restricted access points.

Inform the Technician of any existing damage to carpets, upholstery, or fixtures, including fraying, pulled threads, shrinkage, or colour fading.

Provide accurate contact details and be contactable on the day of the Service in case of queries or delays.

5. Prices and Payments

5.1 Pricing

Prices are typically quoted per room, per item, or based on area and condition. The price may vary according to the size of the room, type of carpet or fabric, level of soiling, and any additional services requested. All prices will be communicated to the Client prior to the commencement of work.

5.2 Payment terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due in full on completion of the Service at the Premises. For some bookings, Carpet Cleaners EN5 may require a deposit or part payment in advance. The Client will be informed of any such requirement during the booking process.

5.3 Accepted payment methods

Carpet Cleaners EN5 accepts payment by commonly used methods that will be specified at the time of booking, such as card payment, bank transfer, or cash. Where payment is made by bank transfer, the Client must ensure that the payment is received promptly. For account clients or commercial contracts, separate payment terms may be agreed in writing.

5.4 Late payment

If payment is not received on the due date, Carpet Cleaners EN5 reserves the right to charge interest on any overdue amount at a reasonable rate applicable for late payments, and to recover all reasonable costs incurred in securing payment.

6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Access

6.1 Client cancellations

The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. Where possible, Carpet Cleaners EN5 requests at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If the Client cancels with less than 24 hours notice, Carpet Cleaners EN5 may charge a cancellation fee to cover administrative and scheduling costs.

6.2 Failed access and waiting time

If the Technician arrives at the Premises at the agreed time and is unable to gain access, or is delayed from commencing work due to circumstances within the Client's control, Carpet Cleaners EN5 may charge a call-out fee or a proportion of the agreed service price. Reasonable waiting time may be allowed at the discretion of the Technician, but this is not guaranteed.

6.3 Company cancellations

In the rare event that Carpet Cleaners EN5 must cancel or reschedule a booking due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, vehicle breakdown, severe weather, or operational issues, the Client will be informed as soon as reasonably practicable and offered an alternative date and time. Carpet Cleaners EN5 will not be liable for any indirect loss or costs arising from such cancellation, but any pre-paid amounts for the cancelled booking will be refunded or credited.

7. Service Limitations and Results

While every effort is made to achieve the best possible results, certain stains, odours, or wear-related damage may be permanent and cannot be fully removed. This includes, but is not limited to, stains from dyes, inks, bleaches, pet urine that has penetrated backing materials, and damage from previous cleaning attempts by third parties.

Some fabrics and carpets may be sensitive to moisture, heat, or cleaning chemicals. The Technician will assess each item and, where concerns arise, may recommend reduced treatment or no treatment at all. If the Client insists on proceeding against advice, Carpet Cleaners EN5 will not be responsible for any damage arising.

Drying times can vary depending on material, ventilation, and weather. The Client is responsible for ensuring adequate ventilation and for following any care instructions given by the Technician, such as avoiding walking on damp carpets or placing protective pads under furniture.

8. Damage, Liability, and Insurance

8.1 Duty of care

Carpet Cleaners EN5 and its Technicians will exercise reasonable care and skill when carrying out the Service. All reasonable steps will be taken to avoid damage to Property, fixtures, and furnishings.

8.2 Reporting damage

Any alleged damage or issue arising directly from the Service must be reported to Carpet Cleaners EN5 as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the work. The Client should provide details, supporting information, and, where possible, photographs.

8.3 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the liability of Carpet Cleaners EN5 for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the lesser of the cost of providing the Service again or the direct cost of repairing or replacing the damaged item, taking into account depreciation and fair wear and tear.

Carpet Cleaners EN5 will not be liable for:

Any pre-existing damage, defects, or weakness in fabric, backing, underlay, or structure that becomes apparent during or after cleaning.

Any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of enjoyment, or loss of business opportunities.

Any damage or issues resulting from the Client's failure to follow aftercare instructions or to provide accurate information about materials or existing conditions.

8.4 Insurance

Carpet Cleaners EN5 maintains appropriate insurance cover for its operations. Details of insurance can be provided on request. Any claim may be subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the relevant policy.

9. Health, Safety, and Waste Regulations

9.1 Health and safety

Carpet Cleaners EN5 follows reasonable health and safety practices during the provision of Services. The Technician may refuse to commence or continue work if the Premises are considered unsafe, unsanitary, or in breach of relevant regulations, or if there is a risk to personal safety.

9.2 Use of cleaning products

Cleaning products and equipment used by Carpet Cleaners EN5 are selected for effectiveness and, where possible, environmental considerations. Safety data sheets for products used can be provided upon request. The Client should inform Carpet Cleaners EN5 of any known allergies or sensitivities in the household or workforce so that appropriate products can be selected where feasible.

9.3 Waste handling and disposal

Carpet Cleaners EN5 complies with applicable waste and environmental regulations. Normal waste generated as part of the cleaning process, such as used solutions, rinse water, and packaging from consumables, will be managed in line with relevant guidance.

Where special or hazardous waste is involved, including waste resulting from contamination by bodily fluids, chemicals, or other regulated substances, additional charges may apply and, in some cases, Carpet Cleaners EN5 may decline to undertake the work. The Client is responsible for notifying Carpet Cleaners EN5 in advance if any such contamination is suspected.

10. Complaints and Service Issues

If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Service, they should contact Carpet Cleaners EN5 as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after completion. In many cases, issues can be resolved by a revisit or remedial work where reasonable and appropriate.

Carpet Cleaners EN5 will investigate complaints in good faith, considering any evidence provided, and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Where a complaint is upheld, Carpet Cleaners EN5 may, at its discretion, offer a partial refund, a re-clean of the affected area, or other appropriate remedy. This will be the Client's sole and exclusive remedy in respect of the complaint.

11. Privacy and Data

Carpet Cleaners EN5 collects and uses personal data such as names, addresses, and contact details for the purpose of managing bookings, providing Services, and handling payments and enquiries. Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Information is not sold to third parties. Limited sharing with service providers such as payment processors may occur where necessary to perform the Service or comply with legal obligations.

12. Force Majeure

Carpet Cleaners EN5 will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control. This may include, but is not limited to, extreme weather, acts of God, public health emergencies, strikes, transport disruptions, power failures, or restrictions imposed by authorities. In such circumstances, Carpet Cleaners EN5 may suspend or cancel the Service without liability, but will endeavour to reschedule where possible.

13. Amendments to Terms

Carpet Cleaners EN5 may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, industry practice, or operational requirements. The current version of the Terms and Conditions will apply to each booking at the time it is made. Continued use of the Services following any changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any written quotation, booking confirmation, or additional terms agreed in writing, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Carpet Cleaners EN5 in relation to the Services. No verbal assurance or representation not expressly set out in this Agreement shall form part of the contract.

By confirming a booking with Carpet Cleaners EN5, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
