Terms and Conditions for Carpet Cleaners EN5

Cleaning technician preparing a carpet cleaning service These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which our carpet cleaning services are provided to residential and commercial customers. By making a booking, confirming an appointment, or allowing our operatives to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before arranging any carpet cleaning, upholstery treatment, stain removal, or related service. These terms are intended to be clear, fair, and consistent with UK consumer law.

In these terms, references to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the service provider, and references to “you” and “your” mean the customer receiving the service. These terms apply to all work undertaken in relation to carpet cleaning EN5 services, whether booked by phone, email, online, or through any other accepted method. If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

Customer booking confirmation for carpet cleaners Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK law. We aim to provide a professional and reliable carpet cleaners EN5 service, but the scope of the work, its limitations, and the responsibilities of both parties must be understood in advance to avoid disputes.

1. Booking Process

Bookings are accepted subject to availability and confirmation by us. When you request a booking for carpet cleaning services, you must provide accurate information about the property, the type and condition of the carpet or fabric, access requirements, parking restrictions, and any known issues such as heavy staining, odours, pet damage, or fragile materials. Any quote or estimate given before inspection is based on the information you provide and may be revised if the actual work required differs from that description.

We reserve the right to decline or reschedule a booking where access is not safe, where the property conditions are unsuitable, or where the requested work falls outside our normal service scope. A booking is not confirmed until we have expressly accepted it and, where required, received any deposit or advance payment. If you require a specific date or time window, we will do our best to accommodate this, but timing remains subject to operational constraints, traffic conditions, and previous jobs running longer than expected.

Professional carpet cleaning process in progress If you are acting on behalf of another person, landlord, tenant, or business, you confirm that you have authority to arrange the carpet cleaning on their behalf. You must ensure that the premises are ready for cleaning at the agreed time, including clearing movable items where reasonably possible, providing suitable water and power access, and ensuring that pets, children, and vulnerable persons are kept away from the work area during the service.

2. Service Scope and Customer Responsibilities

Our carpet cleaners may use hot water extraction, low-moisture methods, stain treatment, deodorising applications, or other suitable techniques depending on the fibres, level of soiling, and manufacturer guidance. We will use reasonable skill and care when carrying out the service, but the exact outcome cannot be guaranteed, particularly for old stains, dye transfer, wear marks, colour loss, water marks, previous chemical damage, or contamination that has set into the fibres over time.

Before cleaning begins, you must tell us about any special circumstances that may affect the work, including underfloor heating, delicate rugs, loose seams, pre-existing damage, past repairs, hidden pet contamination, mould, or any surface protection treatment previously applied. Failure to disclose relevant information may affect the result and may limit our liability. Where necessary, we may refuse to clean an item if we believe the process could cause damage or if the item is unsuitable for the requested treatment.

It is your responsibility to remove small valuables, ornaments, documents, and fragile items from the area before the appointment. We do not accept responsibility for items left in the working area unless loss or damage is caused by our negligence. In some cases, furniture may need to be moved in order to complete the carpet cleaning service; however, we may refuse to move heavy, valuable, or unsafe items. If furniture is moved by us, it is done at your risk except where damage results from our failure to use reasonable care.

3. Payments, Charges, and Invoicing

All prices are provided in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. Any quotation is an estimate based on the information available at the time and may be adjusted if the actual work, stain severity, room size, access conditions, or additional treatments differ from the original description. Payment terms will be explained when your booking is confirmed, and full payment is usually due immediately upon completion unless we agree otherwise in writing.

We may require a deposit, pre-authorisation, or advance payment to secure certain bookings, particularly for larger jobs or commercial appointments. Any deposit is non-refundable unless we cancel the booking or unless a refund is required by law. Payment may be accepted by card, bank transfer, cash, or another approved method. If you do not pay on time, we may suspend further services, charge reasonable recovery costs, and refer unpaid sums for collection where lawful to do so.

Invoices, receipts, or statements may be provided electronically. If you believe an invoice contains an error, you must notify us as soon as possible and in any event within a reasonable time. Disputes over part of an invoice do not entitle you to withhold payment of the undisputed amount. Any promotional pricing, discount, or offer applies only where stated and may be withdrawn or amended for future bookings.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Delays

You may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. Unless a different cancellation policy has been agreed in writing, cancellations made at short notice may result in a charge to cover admin time, travel, or loss of opportunity. If you cancel after we have already attended the property or begun preparatory work, you may be charged the full or partial fee depending on the circumstances.

If we need to cancel or rearrange a booking due to illness, equipment failure, unsafe conditions, severe weather, or circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable to offer an alternative time. We are not liable for any indirect loss caused by a delay or rescheduling, such as loss of business earnings, missed appointments, or inconvenience, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

You are responsible for ensuring that access is available at the agreed time. If we arrive and cannot complete the service because you are not present, access is denied, or the area is unavailable, we may treat this as a late cancellation and charge a call-out or waiting fee where reasonable. Repeated changes to bookings may affect future availability and may require a revised quote.

5. Liability and Limitations

We will carry out our carpet cleaning EN5 work with reasonable care and skill. If we cause proven damage directly through negligence, our liability will be limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement, taking into account age, condition, depreciation, and normal wear. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, hidden damage, weak seams, colour instability, shrinkage risk, or adverse reactions caused by prior treatments or manufacturer defects.

Where a carpet, rug, or fabric item is particularly delicate, antique, or valuable, you should obtain specialist advice before booking. We may ask for written confirmation that you accept the risk associated with cleaning such items. We do not guarantee full stain removal, colour restoration, or the removal of odours that have penetrated deeply into backing materials, underlay, or subfloor surfaces.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under UK law. Subject to that, we will not be liable for loss of profit, loss of opportunity, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the service.

6. Waste, Disposal, and Environmental Compliance

Waste disposal and compliance materials for cleaning service We operate in accordance with applicable waste regulations and environmental duties in the United Kingdom. Any waste arising from our work, including used filters, packaging, disposable cloths, minor residues, and cleaning materials, will be handled responsibly and disposed of in line with relevant legal requirements. Where possible, we aim to minimise waste and use products that are suitable for professional cleaning applications.

If waste is produced by the customer’s premises, such as items removed from the carpeted area, contaminated materials, or debris already present in the property, it remains your responsibility unless we agree in writing to remove it. We may refuse to remove hazardous waste, sharps, asbestos, bodily fluids, or any substance requiring specialist disposal. If such materials are discovered, we may suspend the service until the area is made safe.

You must not ask us to dispose of items that may be classed as controlled, hazardous, or illegal waste without prior agreement and confirmation that disposal is lawful. Where chemicals or contaminated wash water are produced as part of the process, we will handle them in accordance with our operational procedures and legal obligations. Customers must also ensure that drains, sinks, and surrounding areas are suitable for the safe use of equipment and cleaning residue management.

7. Complaints, Access, and Service Conditions

Final review of service terms and customer agreement If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, you should notify us promptly so that we can review the matter and, where appropriate, investigate or arrange a reasonable remedy. Complaints should be raised as soon as possible after completion of the work, and ideally before the area has been used again, as this helps us assess any issue fairly. We may request photographs, descriptions, or the opportunity to inspect the relevant area.

We may take reasonable before-and-after notes or photographs for operational records, quality control, and dispute resolution purposes. These records will be used in accordance with applicable data protection law. By allowing us to perform the work, you agree that we may record the condition of the treated area before and after the service for legitimate business purposes.

In order to protect equipment, surfaces, and occupants, we may stop or delay work where conditions are unsafe, excessively dirty, contaminated, or otherwise unsuitable. This includes situations involving aggressive behaviour, restricted access, lack of ventilation, unsafe electrical fittings, or any other hazard that could affect the safety of our staff or the quality of the work.

8. Governing Law and General Provisions

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law permits otherwise. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms removes the protection provided by mandatory rights under UK legislation.

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, business practice, or service scope. The version in force at the time of your booking will normally apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or agreed in writing. Continued use of our carpet cleaners service after any update will be treated as acceptance of the revised terms for future bookings.

These terms represent the entire agreement between the parties concerning the service and supersede previous discussions or representations, except where fraud or mandatory law applies. No person other than the customer and us shall have any rights under these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 unless expressly stated otherwise. If any provision is found invalid, the rest will remain effective.
